Whether you were born in another country, grew up speaking multiple languages, maintain strong cultural traditions, or have spent significant time living or working abroad, your experiences can help students better understand the diverse world around them. Global Cultures is about more than geography. It is about exploring identity, traditions, values, communication, and the many ways people experience life across cultures.
By hearing directly from individuals with different lived experiences, students develop empathy, curiosity, and the confidence to engage respectfully with people from backgrounds different from their own. For many students, meeting someone with firsthand cultural experiences is one of the most memorable parts of the Global Scholars Diploma.
These conversations make cultures feel personal rather than abstract and help students recognize the richness of diversity within their own community.
Who We're Looking For
You might be a great fit if you:

• Immigrated to the U.S. or are part of a refugee community.
