Global Leadership Summit

An afternoon of real conversation with the region's next generation of leaders.

The Global Leadership Summit brings together Columbus-area community and business leaders with the next generation of leaders. Global Scholars students who have spent time gaining knowledge and skills in addressing global issues, cultural competence, and civic engagement. This isn't a panel or a photo opportunity. It's a facilitated, small-group exchange where leaders and students trade stories, challenge assumptions, and build genuine connection across generations.

Students arrive interested in leadership, citizenship, and cross-cultural communication and show up ready to contribute to the conversation, not just absorb advice from it.

Why Leaders Participate

  • Direct access to engaged, capable young people: Global Scholars are students who bring thoughtful perspective, not just enthusiasm
  • A structured, low-pressure format: Small-table discussion, not a stage or spotlight
  • A chance to reflect, too: The Summit's format asks leaders to share their own stories of mentorship, not just offer guidance
  • Visibility: leaders are recognized as part of the program and, where interested, can take on a welcoming, emcee, or closing role

Time Commitment:

A single afternoon session (approximately 3:00–4:30 PM), no preparation required beyond a willingness to share a personal story and engage in small-group conversation.
